How it works:
In this pool, you will select a team from the pick sheet shown, so you will end up with 12 forwards, 4 defencemen, and 2 goalies
Your team will play a 40-game season vs the other teams in this "league". Pts earned will determine if you earn a win, loss or tie in standings. Season will run from Oct. 7 to March 4, with top 16 teams overall continuing on to playoffs. ALL rounds will be 2 out 3 series...
Scoring: Each fwd/d-man selected will earn 1 point for every goal and/or assist, each goalie earns 1 pt per win, 2 pts per shutout and 3 pts per goal/assist...and total pts earned each week will determine your score for that week. (no allowances made for injured player(s)/ demotion to minors, etc. Your team is your team for the year!)
Deadline: Submit your picks before 1st game of regular season (October 7)
Prizes: Champ - $500, 2nd - $225, 3rd - $75, 4th $50 (based on 24 entrants)

SEASON TIE-BREAKERS:
Should team/teams be tied in pts after 40 game season, position in standings will be determined by:
1. Most wins
2. If #1 is tied, then head-to-head result (if 2 teams tied)...
3. If teams played each other more than once, and head-to-head is split, or if more than 2 teams are tied, then most pts FOR...
4. If pts FOR is tied, then least pts AGAINST...
5. if the unthinkable happens, and all the above are tied, then a coin flip (https://flipsimu.com/) for higher position...

PLAYOFF GAME TIE-BREAKERS:
Playoff games CANNOT end in a tie, so there must be tiebreakers in case they do!
If a game ends in a tie, 1st tiebreaker would be TOTAL GOALS scored by ALL of your players.
If THAT is tied, next tiebreaker will be TOTAL GOALS scored by ALL of your defencemen...
If that TOO is tied, the higher seeded team will be the winner...
